Jesus, Our Model of Sacrificial Giving
Today's Reading: 2 Corinthians 8:9; Philippians 2:5-8; John 3:16
Devotional: The ultimate model of grace giving stands before us in Jesus Christ. Though He possessed all the riches of heaven, He emptied Himself, took human form, and gave His life as a ransom for many. This is the standard by which we measure generosity—not percentages or amounts, but the heart of sacrifice. Jesus did not give from His surplus; He gave everything. He became poor so that we might become rich in grace, mercy, and eternal life. When we grasp the magnitude of His gift, our perspective on giving transforms completely.
How can we withhold anything when He withheld nothing? Today, meditate on the cross. Let the sacrificial love of Christ compel you toward greater generosity. Ask God to shape your heart to reflect the giving nature of Jesus.
