FINE ARTS

The Music Arts Ministry is a team of gifted and anointed musicians and singers who are empowered by God to minister the Word of God through music. This ministry strives to stir up the gifts that God has given the saints for the perfecting of the body of Christ.  The Music Arts Ministry leads the congregation into praise and worship to God by inspiring people to praise and worship God, encouraging them as believers and compelling the lost to Jesus.  Our purpose is to use music to give our members a powerful and interactive experience with Christ.  The songs we sing and style of music we select are intended to lead people into God's presence. The Music Arts Ministry serves our church family during special events and funerals in addition to Sunday morning and midweek services.

To be involved in the Music Arts Ministry, you must audition and attend a Training session.  Prior to the audition and training session, we require you to attend the Doorway to Discipleship Membership Class.   Once you have attended the class and submitted your Excellence Team Application you will be contacted with an audition and training session date.

The power of worship through movement comes through our Dance Ministry. Creative and beautifully crafted choreography delivers a moving message of divine praise, thanksgiving, brokenness, and deliverance to the people of God. This ministry supports Sunday morning praise and worship as well as other special events.  

The goal of the ministry is to use this visually creative art form to bring forth the Word of God in congregational praise and worship. Interested individuals have the opportunity to sign up through the Excellence Team application process and will be contacted regarding auditions. Rehearsals are scheduled as needed.  Dancers must have completed Doorway to Discipleship and must be members of the Household of Faith.  They must also complete Dance Ministry orientation.

The Dance Ministry is comprised of

• Youth (6th - 12th Grade) who love to dance before the Lord and are dedicated to His service.
• Men and Women (age 18 and over) who are trained and experienced in the art of dance.

The Drama Ministry exists to prepare the hearts of the congregation to worship and hear biblical truths by addressing relevant issues through acting, role plays and/or skits.  Additionally, the drama team uses their talents to promote church events as well as provide special seasonal presentations.  This ministry is is composed of a group of talented people, actors and writers within the ministry who love the Lord and desire to use their gifts in the area of dramatic arts to minister to the congregation.  Roles for skits are cast through auditions conducted by the Drama Ministry Coordinator or his/her designess.  Members must be active in the drama ministry to be able to write, assist in directing, and audition for parts.  Eligibility is determined by regular attendance at Bible studies, scheduled meetings and ministry outreach events.

If you would like to use your God-given gifts to share with others the finest art, music, and literature that glorifies God, edifies the body of Christ, and evangelizes the masses we need you!  Our purpose is to provide an avenue for Household of Faith artists and writers to publish, exhibit, produce and develop their talents.

The Music Arts Ministry consists of:

• Praise Band (Musicians):  The Praise Band provides a rhythm section for Worship in our services.  The instruments include piano/keyboard, electric and acoustic guitars, electric bass, drums/percussion, trumpet, saxophone and flute.  Music reading skills are helpful but not required.  An audition is required.
• Praise & Worship Team:  These are extraordinary, musically gifted men and women that do more than just lead songs; they take us into the presence of the Lord with their mellow voices, spirit-filled countenance, and personal testimonies.  They are our worship leaders that faithfully minister to the body of Christ during weekly and special worship services.  An audition is required.
• Choirs:  We worship with our voices, our instruments and our hearts, singing praises to the Lord for His unfailing love and grace.  From the stage to the seating area, their goal is to reach those who are lost, hurting or in bondage.

Costume Sewing Ministry
This talented group uses their God-given skills in sewing and crafts to create an assortment of costumes for drama and dance productions.  Other services provided by the ministry include:  maintaining existing costumes in good condition and mending small articles of clothing or drapes.  This ministry meets as needed in preparation of productions.

New members to the Drama ministry are required to complete Doorway to Discipleship class and be active in the ministry for a minimum of two months before being cast in a skit.
