Joy is Your Strength

Reading: Nehemiah 8:10; Habakkuk 3:17-19; Philippians 4:4-7

Devotional: Habakkuk faced complete economic collapse—no fruit, no livestock, no provision—yet declared, "I will rejoice in the Lord." This is not toxic positivity; this is transformative faith. The joy of the Lord isn't happiness dependent on circumstances; it's supernatural strength rooted in God's character. When life wears you down, joy lifts you up. It gives endurance when you're tired, faith when you're tested, and praise when you're pressed. Joy is the divine energy that enables you to keep thanking God when others would quit. Today, choose joy as your strength. Let thanksgiving be your resistance against despair. Rejoice not in your situation, but in your Savior.

Reflection Question: Where do you need God's joy to strengthen you to keep giving thanks today?
