Sowing Seeds of Generosity

Nov 3, 2025    Bishop Calvin Hooper

Today's Reading: 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Devotional: The farmer who plants sparingly receives a meager harvest, while the one who sows abundantly reaps bountifully. This agricultural principle applies to our spiritual lives and giving. God invites us into a relationship of generosity that mirrors His own heart. When we give, we are not operating under compulsion or guilt but responding to the overwhelming grace we have received through Christ. Grace giving transforms our hearts and builds our character. As you reflect today, ask yourself: Am I giving out of duty or delight? God desires cheerful givers who understand that every resource we steward belongs to Him. When we open our hands in faith, we position ourselves to experience God's abundant provision and participate in His kingdom work.
