Weathering Life's Storms

Today's Reading: Psalm 46:1-11; Matthew 7:24-27

Devotional: Storms are inevitable. The question is not if they will come, but when—and whether you'll be standing when they pass. Both the wise and foolish builders faced identical storms, but only one house remained. The difference was not in the storm's intensity but in the foundation's integrity. God's Word does not promise storm-free living; it promises storm-proof stability. When health fails, relationships fracture, or finances collapse, your foundation will be tested.

Those built on emotional experiences, human wisdom, or cultural trends will collapse spectacularly. But those anchored to Christ will discover He is their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. What storm are you facing today? Stand firm on the Rock, and you will not be shaken.
