Stop Making Excuses
Reading: Exodus 3:1-4:17; Judges 6:11-16
Devotional: Moses had excuses: "I'm not eloquent." Gideon protested: "My family is weak; I am least." Sound familiar? "God, my finances aren't right." "After my kids are grown." "I'm not like other people." Fear dresses itself in reasonable-sounding excuses, but God sees through them. He didn't call you because you're perfect—He called you because He's faithful. He knows your limitations better than you do, yet He still says, "Go, and I will be with you." The very God who formed you has equipped you for what He's calling you to do. This isn't about your ability; it's about His glory.
What excuse have you been rehearsing? Today, confess it as fear, not wisdom. Then choose obedience over comfort. God is waiting on you.
