God Is Your Shield

Reading: Genesis 15:1-6; Psalm 3:1-8

Devotional: When Abram faced uncertainty after battle, God spoke directly to his fear: "Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you." Notice God didn't minimize Abram's concerns—He addressed them with His presence. Your fears may be real, but God's protection is greater. Like David, you can declare, "You, O Lord, are a shield for me." Today, identify one specific fear weighing you down. Now remember: the same God who shielded Abram and David surrounds you.

His protection isn't passive—it's active, personal, and unfailing. When anxiety whispers threats, let faith respond with truth: "My God is my shield." What changes when you truly believe God stands between you and what you fear?
