The Question That Changes Everything

Reading: Matthew 16:13-20


Devotional: Jesus asked His disciples the most personal question in Scripture: "Who do YOU say that I am?" This isn't about secondhand knowledge or inherited faith. Jesus demands a personal verdict. Many can recite theological statements or quote famous Christians, but Christianity is never about knowing about Jesus—it's about knowing Jesus personally. Peter's confession wasn't based on human wisdom but divine revelation. Today, Jesus asks you the same question. Your answer determines your foundation. Is your faith borrowed from parents, tradition, or culture? Or have you personally encountered Christ as Lord?


Take time today to answer honestly: "Jesus, You are..." Let your confession be fresh, personal, and life-defining.
