Strong Faith Strong Finish

In our text today in 2 Kings 2:1-14 we learn that the word had spread about one of the greatest events of the Old Testament that was about to take place. Elijah, the great prophet of God would soon be taken away in a whirlwind and it would be time to pass his mantle to a new generation. We are told of a young man named Elisha who was a student of Elijah that would become his successor. Today we will learn how Elisha manifested a steadfast resolve, made a spiritual request, and managed a sovereign response so we can be encouraged to have strong faith so we can have a strong finish no matter what we face in life.
