God's Timing and Our Patience
God's Timing and Our Patience Reading: Luke 8:49-50, Psalm 27:13-14
Luke 8:49-50: While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” 50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”
Psalm 27:13-14: I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Devotional: When Jairus received news of his daughter's death, it seemed too late for Jesus to help. Yet Jesus encouraged him to believe. Often, God's timing differs from our expectations, requiring us to exercise patience and trust. Reflect on situations in your life where you're waiting on God. How can you cultivate patience and maintain faith during these times?
Trust that even when circumstances appear hopeless, God is still at work. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart.
