The Nature That Determines Association

Reading: Ephesians 5:8-14; 2 Peter 1:2-4

Devotional: A sheep does not desire the mud hole because it has a sheep's nature. Likewise, because you have been given God's divine nature, your desires should align with His holiness. You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. This is not just positional truth—it's transformational reality. The question is not whether you can be around unbelievers, but whether you're influencing them toward light or being pulled back into darkness. Your new nature in Christ means you share in His righteousness, His light, and His truth.

Today, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any area where you're trying to maintain fellowship with both light and darkness. God has given you everything pertaining to life and godliness. Walk in that power today.
