Surrender and Trust

Reading:

Romans 12:1-2 - Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

Devotional:

Paul urges us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, which is our spiritual act of worship. This calls for complete surrender to God's will. Proverbs reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart, not leaning on our own understanding.

Reflect on areas of your life where you might be holding back from God. Are there decisions, relationships, or ambitions you're reluctant to surrender? Remember, true love for God requires trust. Like a passenger on a plane must trust the pilot, we're called to trust God with every aspect of our lives.

Challenge yourself to identify one area you need to surrender to God today. It might be a worry, a plan, or a desire. Write it down and prayerfully offer it to God, asking for the strength to trust Him fully in this area.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I surrender [specific area] to You today. Help me to trust Your plans above my own and to find peace in Your guidance.
